Saviynt, a leading provider of intelligent identification and access governance platform solutions, announced important executive hires that strengthen its position as the market leader in identity management. Tara Ryan was named Chief Marketing Officer, Akshay Sivananda was named Chief Information Security Officer, and Sapna Nair was named General Manager, India. These additions demonstrate Saviynt’s world-class leadership strength and commitment to meeting market demand for its integrated identification platform.
“Our funding in January has allowed us to make large strides in both our go-to-market strategy and deepen the leadership team driving that initiative,” Sachin Nayyar, CEO of Saviynt, “Having these leaders at the table is the next step in realising our vision of being the most comprehensive cloud-native identity and access management solution.” Winners attract more winners, and we are lucky to have and recruit such talent at Saviynt.”

Tara Ryan has extensive expertise establishing brands and driving revenue development for pre- and post-IPO firms and enterprise leaders such as Coupa, Proofpoint, Zebra Technologies, Netsuite, McAfee, and Deloitte. As CMO at Saviynt, she will collaborate with leadership on global marketing strategy planning, design, and execution to elevate the Saviynt brand and drive industry-leading growth at scale. Ryan’s execution skills will add to the company’s ongoing campaigns and authority in the identity and access governance industry.
“Saviynt is a global leader in the making.” “They innovated ahead of the category, much like Coupa, and now stand to replace legacy solutions with their converged identity cloud,” Tara Ryan said. “I am excited to work with the teams at Saviynt and their world class partners to take the brand to the next level.”
Akshay Sivananda has been tightening Saviynt’s enterprise-level security tactics and building a strong security team since joining the company as CISO. He has decades of experience in cyber defence, incident response, risk management, product security, infrastructure and cloud, red teaming, data protection, and insider risk. Sivananda formerly worked as the Executive Director and Global Head of Cyber Defence at Bristol-Myers Squibb and as the Divisional CISO at Capital One.
Sapna Nair has over 26 years of significant experience establishing and developing world-class teams at some of the most successful global technology organisations, including Intuit, ThoughtWorks, Groupon, Eventbrite, and Epsilon, as a technologist herself. She will oversee the India operations and help fulfil Saviynt’s high-growth business strategy as General Manager of India. She is known for her ability to lead teams and engage with leaders across different regions and highly matrixed organisations.
These appointments cap off a year of remarkable expansion for the company, thanks in large part to high demand for its Enterprise Identity Cloud, a leading cloud-native unified identity ecosystem for workforce, enterprise apps, privileged, and third-party identities.
Saviynt welcomed back its creator Sachin Nayyar as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer and industry expert Paul Zolfaghari as President in January 2023. Nayyar guided Saviynt from its inception in 2011 to its domination in 2018, and he has returned to manage the company in delivering best-in-class identity solutions. Nayyar’s return, together with the hiring of Zolfaghari, Ryan, Sivananda, and Nair, demonstrates Saviynt’s depth and breadth of knowledge.
