Alchemy Software Development, a branch of TransPerfect and the world leader in visual localization solutions, celebrates its 21st anniversary with the introduction of Alchemy Catalyst 2023, the latest generation of its enterprise localization system. Alchemy Catalyst 2023, which is already known for its pioneering support of leading software formats, contains additional features that expedite the software translation process even further.
The Catalyst platform from Alchemy Software Development is the translation solution of choice for global corporations wishing to automate their localization for foreign markets. Visual reporting tools aid in the identification of risks during the localization process, while enhanced translation memory technology improves overall translation accuracy while lowering implementation costs and turnaround times.
The following new features are included in Alchemy Catalyst 2023:
Support for Dot Net 5+: Users can now localize binaries and. resx files written in the most recent.NET versions (currently.NET 5 ,.NET 6, and.NET 7).
Native markdown file support: Markdown files (.md,.markdown) are now parsed natively and presented as HTML for fully visual localization.
Filter navigation by resource state: Based on user feedback, this feature allows users to filter files by status at the navigator level (e.g., showing only files having untranslated segments, only files containing fuzzy segments, only files containing memos, etc.).
Segmentation engine enhancement: Automatic segmentation has been extended to String Tables within Win32 and .NET binaries, as well as database files (DDF). This enables the automatic segmentation of embedded HTML/XML content. Post-parsing segmentation can also be manually modified (by further segmenting or merging previously segmented text). Furthermore, for enhanced accuracy, custom segmentation rules now accept tags as delimiters.
“Catalyst 2023 is unique in its sophistication of support for software file formats,” stated Mark Hagerty, TransPerfect’s Chief Technology Officer. “No other translation tool can be seamlessly integrated into the software build process while also mitigating the challenges faced by developers and engineers tasked with simultaneous shipment of software to world markets.”
